Spotlight On Bucketheads A Star Wars Fan Film
At this years Fan Expo Vancouver I had the opportunity to check out the Bucketheads booth. Bucketheads is a non-profit Star Wars fan film created by a team of talented volunteers and passionate Star Wars fans who also just so happen to work within the local film industry. Their love of Star Wars has produced an expanded mythology that is set within the Star Wars universe and offers us a different perspective to a familiar story from the original trilogy.
“Bucketheads” is an in universe slang term that refers to the Empire’s Storm Troopers and is a pretty sweet title for a Star Wars fan film if you ask me. Having watched both the short film and the series what I personally find to be most impressive is that the production quality is right up there with the Star Wars movies. The sets, props, costumes, visual effects and music both look and feel like Star Wars. Every frame is a testament to the passion the cast and crew have for Star Wars and for us, as fans, we now have more stories to enjoy from our favourite galaxy far, far way.
