Geektopia 2019

Vancouver’s newest comic convention debuted with a jam packed day long event that saw con attendees, a.k.a. Geektopians, take in two floors of activities at the Harbour Convention Centre. Throughout the day, Geektopians had the opportunity to meet and greet with special guests, browse the various vendors and artist booths, play old school video games, join in on insightful panels and participate in events taking place within the theatre. In addition to that, Geektopia was the Official Vancouver Host for International Sailor Moon Day as well as the official destination for the Pokémon, DC and Marvel Meetup Groups. Making an appearance with their custom car and proton packs were the Ghostbusters of B.C. and also present was the 501st Legion’s Star Wars costuming organization, Outer Rim Garrison of B.C.

Official guest cosplayers were none other than OnlyAliCat as Nuka Cola Girl, Katy DeCobray as Lara Croft, J.Appletini as Poison Ivy and Stoosh as Hellboy.
